Resources and information for existing SEAs
What can I do as a SEA?- Come out with our education staff when we do workshops in primary or secondary schools
- In particular, we are running a new programme of primary school Science and Technology days, click here for more information
- Respond to a request from a school on the current monthly opportunities list
- Volunteer on events through your own workplace – open days, school visits, hosting a work experience student
- Design your own talk or presentation for schools – we can offer you ideas and support for this
- Borrow kit from us to take to a school
- Design teaching resources about an area of the National Curriculum which teachers or other SEAs could use
- To count as an ‘active’ SEA we ask that you do at least one activity in a 12 month period.
- Please always complete a questionnaire and send it to Jo Hodges (see below) so we can be sure to record what you have been doing as a SEA
- What are other SEAs up to? Take a look at these testimonials to find out…
- National SEAs Handbook
- SEA induction slides
- Presentations of lesson plans that other SEAs have successfully used and want to share
- Hints and Tips - Things to consider when designing your own presentation or workshop
- Feedback questionnaire – if you’ve been out to a school on your own we’d be grateful if you could complete one of these questionnaires.
- Current monthly opportunities list.
