Conference Report: 'Making Science a Priority in Schools' Science Oxford, 9 November 2006
On Tuesday 9 November 2006 The Oxford Trust held a conference for Oxfordshire secondary teachers to discuss making science a priority in schools. The conference was held partly in response to the Government's 'Science and Innovation Investment Framework 2004-2014: Next Steps' (March 2006), in which they set out new goals to improve the supply of young people with science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) skills.

This report takes current information and links it with the issues raised by the attending delegates. The points still have cadence in 2008 and many of the actions are being carried out by a number of organisations locally and nationally.
