Science Enterprise Mentoring Scheme

The Oxford Trust's Science Enterprise Mentoring Scheme, launched this year, offers A level science students who have to do their own investigation as part of their coursework the opportunity to come to regular mentoring sessions held at Science Oxford.

These sessions will provide the ideal opportunity for students to meet practising scientists from industrial and academic backgrounds. These mentors will provide help and guidance to the students and their projects but will also provide an invaluable insight into industry and the opportunities it provides as a career.

It is hoped that students and mentors will enter into an ongoing relationship with mentors providing support with other aspects of the students A level course as well as possible opportunities to visit their place of work.

Students will also have the opportunity to take part in a Summer Enterprise Course that will look more at industry and how science is commercialised. Simple business skills and principles will be looked at in a science context.
