Darwinian Software provides design, development and deployment services for a wide variety of computational solutions using bespoke evolutionary algorithms and, with the help of technology awards from the DTI, is developing software promising a step change in the discovery of new computational models.

Applications are found in most endeavours that work with difficult computational, classification or recognition problems, with early applications being provided in the process industries, life sciences and oil production. Evolutionary algorithm (EA) solutions have been proven to produce break-through results in, for example:

Evolutionary Algorithms are a broad class of machine learning solutions (including genetic algorithms, genetic programming and learning classifier systems) that uses a simulated population of potential solutions to discover one or more optimal solution. The solutions are typically bread and mutated over 100s or 1000s of generations to find the one that is needed. There are many EA architectures and tuneable characteristics so an EA can be found to solve some of the most difficult search or optimization problems.

Darwinian's bespoke development services are either provided directly to the client or in conjunction with Darwinian's University and software partners. We are active in transferring new techniques from applied research to production-ready software tools for industry.
