OBN is the South East's leading biotech business network, promotes biotechnology and healthcare networking and enterprise across Oxford and the South East biotech super-cluster.
Full Profile:
OBN is the South East's most active biotech business network, promotes biotechnology and healthcare networking and enterprise across Oxford and the South East biotech super-cluster. Launched by Lord Sainsbury in 1999, OBN is now a financially self-sustainable network which raises 95% of its operating costs from private sources and operational activity. In the past 18 months, OBN has delivered over 25 meetings, attracting nearly 1700 delegates, notably its trademark BioTuesday biotech business networking evenings. OBN's annual biopartnering meeting, 'BioTrinity', is the UK's leading biotechnlogy networking conference offering delegates the chance to participate in up to 35 one-to-one meetings with other companies over two days, using large private partnering rooms as standard with over 300 companies expected to attend in April 15-16 2008. BioTrinity's unique use of large meeting rooms means that a total of 10 delegates from two (or more) companies can attend one-to-one company meetings, allowing you to do business with the best at BioTrinity. OBN's VC-meeting brokerage service for its members helps life sciences companies across the South-East to get their business plans in front of life sciences focussed VCs, hosting the resulting meetings, resulting in 8 such meetings for UK biotechs in October 2007 alone.
