Based around energy and aimed at pupils 11 - 15 yrs of age, these live on-line lessons will feature Rob Farr: The Energy MC2 covering the topics of energy, fossil fuels and renewables. Participating schools will be required to log into the web site on a specific date and time during science week 2009 and to take part in a 30 minute lesson with The Energy MC2
You will need the following:
* Broadband Internet connection
* Projector
* Access to Email
* DVD player
* Access to a mobile phone (in case of loss of connection)
Each school will in advance of the lesson receive two envelopes, one to be opened immediately and one to remain sealed until the lesson. These envelopes will contain a range of follow on activities specially designed for the lesson, and will set a 'secret energy task' which require the students to collect some energy data. The results produced will be sent back via email to The Energy MC2 for analysis and publication on the web.
