Honda School of Dreams offering free pilot workshops
The School of Dreams programme has been created to help young people develop an understanding of the importance of pursuing their dreams.By exploring some of the technological and social advances that have been driven by the dreams of individuals, students learn that they too can make their aspirations come true.
They will discover that by harnessing their own knowledge, skills and creativity they can begin to shape the world in which they live.
Designed to help KS3 teachers address the national curriculum requirements for Thinking Skills, the School of Dreams is a series of free cross-curricular two day in-school workshops based on the Department for Schools, Children and Families Leading in Learning initiative.
The School of Dreams content has been carefully mapped against the Personal Learning and Thinking Skills Framework and over the course of two days pupils experience all 10 of the learning strategies identified in Leading in Learning. Support material for staff is designed to enable them to cascade the workshops within their own schools and will also encourage the use of the learning strategies across the broader curriculum.
