Organic Pet Food Company Wins MEPC Milton Park's Greenshoots Award 2008
MEPC Milton Park will be welcoming organic pet food company OrganiPets to the park after they scooped the top prize in the Greenshoots Award 2008.
The award aims to recognise and nurture environmentally focused start-up companies, with the winner receiving rent free accommodation at Milton Park and mentoring from Warwick Business School to the value of £15,000.
Oxford-based OrganiPets was found to be the most innovative nominee, producing environmentally friendly pet food and maintaining sustainable practices throughout the business. The company was set up in 2007, after the founder's home-produced organic pet food was linked to the improvement of their pet dog's health. Alongside its passion for natural pet food, OrganiPets is committed to growing the business, avoiding excess packaging, recycling wherever possible and supporting local farmers.
Managing director of MEPC Milton Park James Dipple commented: "With ethical sourcing and a commitment to organic produce, OrganiPets an outstanding company, and one which we are proud to award the winners of Greenshoots 2008. We look forward to OrganiPets joining MEPC Milton Park, and seeing it become a major pet food brand with the help of the Greenshoots Award."
