Schools get Involved in the Race to the South Pole

As Team QinetiQ we are offering teachers the opportunity to follow Ben Fogle & James Cracknell on their epic race to the South Pole. The project is an opportunity for real scientists to show not only 'How Science Works' but also use profiles of the whole team to highlight what exciting and interesting jobs STEM subjects can offer and the potential diverse career paths students can aspire to.

The Team QinetiQ project, starts in September and is tailored to address national curriculum guidelines, primarily for Key Stage 3/4.

Your school can receive material to help you and your class learn all about the Antarctic environment and how scientists are applying science and technology to help prepare Ben and James for this epic race. Register with Team QinetiQ and receive:

Registered schools will receive their first Team QinetiQ update and access to web-based resources at the beginning of the new academic year.

This is just the beginning, the Team QinetiQ website will develop as the race approaches providing an exciting, dynamic time for youngsters to learn from real science in action.
