The Oxford Trust Gears up for Venturefest
Venturefest is less than one week away and as one of the organising partners, The Oxford Trust is holding some premium business events at Venturefest that shouldn't be missed. Whether you're interested in viewing and trying the latest technologies, meeting experienced entrepreneurs, or tracking the progress of our young Apprentices- we have it covered!
We kick off on day one with The Venturefest Apprentice. Six Year 12 Business Studies, Science, and Technology students will take part in a series of challenges over the two days at Venturefest. Participants will spend time learning about how entrepreneurs and high-tech companies work from The Oxford Science Park. Companies hosting students are ProImmune, Oxford Biomedica, Prosonix and BioAnaLab. The winner will be announced during Venturefest and will receive £1000 and a work placement with Nominet over the summer.
On day two the Technology Showcase Exhibition will be taking place. Number high technology companies will be giving interactive and lively demonstrations of their latest and most exciting technologies in the areas of diagnostics, biotechnology, information technology and engineering. So far we have some fantastic businesses lined up, all of them will be exhibiting an exciting piece of technology. For more detailed information please visit the website.
Venturefest will be taking place on the 30th June and the 1st of July, open to all, celebrating enterprise and innovation and promoting the commercialisation of new technology. The Oxford Trust will be based in the Venturefest Village, which has been designed to be the hub of the event. The Venturefest Village will also be the key networking space for Venturefest and the venue for the evening reception.
