Lord Nuffield has been voted Oxfordshire's Greatest Entrepreneur

After months of vigorous public voting, interactive discussions and a potrait and biography exhibition at Science Oxford, The Oxford Trust are delighted to announce that Lord Nuffield is Oxfordshire's greatest entrepreneur. Over 1000 votes were received of which over 50% were for Lord Nuffield.

Speaking at the Celebration Event at Nuffield College Hugo Brunner, Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, said 'Billy had an uncanny sense of what is possible to achieve. A famous industrialist, the greatest benefactor.'

Great Entrepreneurs was a celebration of the lives and successes of the county's most enterprising people. The Oxford Trust has delved into Oxfordshire’s 1000 year long history to find six of our Greatest Entrepreneurs; the six finalists were Sir Basil Blackwell, Charles Early, Martha Lane Fox, Thomas Knowles, Lord Nuffield and Sir Martin and Lady Audrey Wood.
