Assessment

At Silver level a representative of the BA CREST Scheme (probably us) must see the project and speak with the student(s) involved. This requires an assessor to look at the student Profile forms and talk with the student(s) about their project. Assessment of Silver projects can take place at a regional event or celebration day. The assessor will sign off the Profile forms and accredit students.

Assessors will be looking for evidence of 40 hours work. The scientific or technological process should be more rigorous than at Bronze level. The teacher should have less involvement than at Bronze level and students should begin to develop their own ideas, with the teacher acting as a sounding board for discussions.
